Cookies

What are they for and how do we work with them?

Wat are cookies?

A cookie is a small file of data that the server sends to the browser and the browser stores it on the user's computer. Every time you visit the same server again, the browser sends this data back to the server. Cookies are normally used to distinguish individual users, store user preferences, etc., and thus simplify the use of websites.

What are cookies for?

Cookies are a tool to ensure the functionality of the website for a specific user. The visited website can store information about your behavior on the website in cookies. However, under no circumstances can cookies be used to identify visitors by a third party. Information from cookies can then be used for targeted advertising, statistical evaluation of visitor behavior, etc.

Blocking/deleting cookies

Every browser allows you to block or delete cookies if you wish. For more information, see the Help menu in your browser. Please note, however, that blocking all cookies will have a negative impact on the usability of many websites, including the EXPANDO website. Therefore, we recommend continuing to use cookies when using our website.

How do we use cookies?

Cookies on our website may be set by us, by third parties under contract with us, or by independent third parties (e.g. advertisers). Our site uses both "temporary" and "permanent" cookies. The temporary ones remember information from page to page for filtering and filling out searches before deleting it at the end of the visit. Persistent cookies enable our website to recognize you when you return to us and remain stored on your computer until they are deleted or until they reach a specified expiry date. Permanent cookies will never be stored on your computer for more than 2 weeks from the date of your last visit.

By clicking "Accept all cookies", you agree to the storage of cookies on your device in order to improve web navigation, site usage analysis and support our marketing efforts. See our Privacy Policy for more information.
